Blakely Hunze, M.S**

Blakely Hunze is a unicorn. We say this not only because she is a true, born-and-raised Nashville native, but Blakely is one of those truly caring and driven individuals who will stick beside her clients no matter the challenges and difficulties that they face. With her calm, witty, and occasionally sarcastic personality, she brings out the light in everyone she meets. Realistic and unafraid of a challenge, Blakely is passionate about and experienced in treating adolescents and adults facing trauma, substance abuse, addictions, and behavioral concerns such as performance anxiety.

A graduate of Lipscomb University, Blakely obtained a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in addictions. She also attended Middle Tennessee State University for her Bachelor’s degree where she studied Anthropology while concentrating in forensic anthropology and archaeology. Previously, Blakely worked in a psychiatric hospital specializing in patients with thought disorders. She has experience working with adolescent males struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, and she has also practiced in an inpatient setting that utilizes the 12-Step program.

During her downtime, Blakely most enjoys activities such as traveling, hiking, and becoming a connoisseur of coffee. When she is not reading or being near the ocean, she spends time with her dog, Louie. A lover of a good pun with a sense of humor you will never forget, Blakely’s drive is in empowering her clients to find their own voice and inner strength again.
