David is a Licensed Professional Counselor who completed his undergraduate degree and graduate degree at Lipscomb University. Following his undergraduate education, David enrolled in the Peace Corps and served in the Philippines, where his passion for counseling and psychology began. He previously served as the adolescent unit's lead therapist at Rolling Hills Psychiatric Hospital and served as the Clinical Coordinator for the Young Men's Program at Cumberland Heights Residential Treatment Center. He is a national speaker on the topic of addiction. David's clients appreciate his professional yet humorous approach to counseling.

David specializes in tough cases--period. He is well known for being able to draw out the most withdrawn clients, to make the most angry clients relax, and to earn the respect of the biggest therapy skeptics. The fact that David is a man hasn't hindered any gender from sharing their most sensitive trauma experiences with him while he provides the healthy boundaries necessary for healing. He is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and DBT and treats mood disorders, trauma, addiction, and behavioral issues.

In his free time, David enjoys reading, painting, exercising, and quoting "Parks and Recreation." When asked about his role model, David replied, "Gandhi or Bruce Lee... or Yoda. Probably, Yoda."
