David is a former Division 1 Athlete who completed his undergraduate degree and graduate degree at Lipscomb University. Following his undergraduate education, David enrolled in the Peace Corps and served in the Philippines, where his passion for counseling and psychology began. He previously served as the adolescent unit's lead therapist at Rolling Hills Psychiatric Hospital and served as the Clinical Coordinator for the Young Men's Program at Cumberland Heights Residential Treatment Center. He is a national speaker on the topic of addiction.
David's clients appreciate his professional yet humorous approach to counseling. He specializes in tough cases, period. He is well known for being able to open up the most withdrawn clients and make the most angry clients relax. David quickly earns the respect and trust of therapy skeptics.
In his free time, David enjoys reading, writing, painting, rock climbing, and quoting television shows. We asked David to name his role models and he replied, “Gandhi, Theodore Roosevelt, Bruce Lee, or Yoda. If I can only choose one, Yoda.”
