Sarah is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, Rule 31 Listed Family Mediator, and PSYCHē supervisor who utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with her clients. She helped pioneer PSYCHē's, Environmental Intervention™ (EV) Program, working with clients in their homes and places of business to meet very specific needs. Sarah completed her undergraduate degree at The University of Tennessee at Knoxville and her graduate degree at Lipscomb University. Sarah previously worked at Skyline Madison Campus Psychiatric Hospital as a therapist on the adolescent unit and is adept at facilitating the hospitalization process. She is notorious for dotting her i's and crossing her t's and has joined Dr. Vaughn in consulting and intervening on multiple difficult cases. She is elegantly diplomatic, while managing to also challenge clients to reach new levels.
Sarah specializes in full DBT, parent coaching, college adjustment issues, failure-to-launch adults, adolescent depression and anxiety, Prolonged Exposure (PE) for trauma, ADHD, self-esteem issues, and mood disorders.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, playing kickball and soccer, traveling, and playing with her maniacal cat, Rory. Sarah also makes homemade kombucha and is famous at Psychē for having played on her high school's football team.
