DBT Skills training

Weekly online DBT-Skills Groups cover specific skills to increase mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Virtual RO-DBT group covers skills to assist with issues related to over-controlled temperaments. Both DBT and RO-DBT Skills Groups are like a class, not therapy.

Virtual setting

We host multiple online Adult DBT groups (ages 18+) and accept some adolescents (with approval). Virtual RO-DBT Skills Group is also available. Groups are held conveniently online via Zoom.

Led by experts

Each group is led by a licensed clinician with experience in leading DBT or RO-DBT groups to fidelity. Each group leader was selected by PSYCHē’s Owner and DBT-Linehan Board of Certification certified clinician, Stephanie Vaughn, Psy.D. and/or RO-DBT intensively trained clinician, Sally Roesch, LPC-MHSP.

NOW is the time to use skills.

FAQs about DBT & RO-DBT Skills Groups

Are the groups virtual?
Yes. All DBT and RO-DBT groups are delivered via secure telehealth. We currently serve all U.S. states except Alaska and Hawaii.

How do I join a group?
Start with a brief online orientation. We’ll confirm your goals, schedule, and preferences, then place you in the best-fit DBT or RO-DBT group.

Who leads the groups?
Groups are led by experienced, evidence-based DBT trained clinicians. Select classes may be led by a Linehan Board-Certified clinician.

What’s the weekly commitment?
Groups typically meet weekly. Exact time and session length are listed on the schedule when you enroll.

Do I need individual therapy while in group?
Many clients benefit from weekly individual therapy alongside group. We’ll help coordinate care and discuss what’s recommended for you, and that can be with one of our therapists or a clinician you are already working with. Being in individual therapy is not required to participate in group.

Do you take insurance for groups?
We are an out-of-network, concierge-style practice. We can provide superbills you may submit to your insurer for potential reimbursement.

What if I miss a session?
You can review attendance and cancellation policies in our enrollment paperwork and during your online group orientation so expectations are clear before you start.

Do I need prior DBT or RO-DBT experience?
No. We teach skills step-by-step and provide homework and lessons to help you practice them outside of class as well.
